Responsibilities

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Obtain W2 and Income Tax Return Transcripts.
  • Obtain Fraudguard reports.
  • Order Credit Supplements.
  • Obtain Written Verifications of Employment, Verbal Verifications of Employment, and Verifications of Rent.
  • Order Final Inspections.
  • Gather conditions and resubmit file to Underwriting Department within 45 days of initial loan approval.
  • Work closely with Loan Officer on Pended and Denied loans and resubmit file to Underwriting Department.
  • Ensure correct documentation has been gathered per investor requirements.
  • Ensure conditions have been met.
  • Analyze loan conditions to protect against potential loan fraud.
  • Contact customers periodically from loan approval through closing.
  • Respond to customer questions within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure loans remain with CalAtlantic.
  • Sign off on individual loan conditions as required in the LOS (Encompass).
  • Keep Notepad notes up-to-date. 
  • Access and maintain a thorough working knowledge of all systems.
  • Maintain a general understanding of FHA, VA and Conventional guidelines.
  • Assist with all other special tasks and projects as directed by management.
  • Be familiar with and at all times comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, the Company’s Employee Handbook and all other Company policies and procedures, as each may be in effect from time to time.

Qualifications

Candidates Will Need to Meet the Following Qualifications:

  • High-school education or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years clerical experience, preferably within a mortgage environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems (i.e., LOS, MS Office.)
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Evidence of organizational skills.
  • Proven follow-up skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to manage a high volume workload.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Bilingual skills, a plus.
